ANNOUNCEMENTS
*Updated September 16, 2022
SENIORS
* Many of you have begun the process of applying for college. Don't forget to sign my door requesting that I send your transcript to the college(s) where you apply. Almost all colleges require an official transcript be sent from the high school for your application to be complete.
*When you are on each college website, search for scholarship information to find details about opportunites and deadlines. Each college's application process is different, so don't forget to check it out!
* Check your school email often! When I receive any new scholarship information, I am sending it to your school email for the fastest communication. While I do update this website, the fastest communication from me will be through any emails I receive.
* If you are working on a scholarship or college application and will be sending me a link to complete the process, let me know so I can look for the email. Sometimes, the link will go to my spam folder and so I might not be aware to look for it!
* FAFSA NIGHT will be held at the high school library on THURSDAY, October 6 at 6 PM. (FAFSA opens on October 1, so for those parents/guardians who are familiar with the FAFSA process, you can begin on that date). If you have questions, let me know so I can assist with the process. If you or your family needs help with the application or access to online resources, we can set up a time to meet and work on it during or after school.
* Not happy with your SAT scores? Need a higher score for scholarship consideration? Sign up to take the SAT or ACT! I have posted links for the websites and dates/deadlines on my website under ACT and SAT tabs. I have a few ACT study guides in my office to check out if you want to prepare for the test. Both SAT and ACT have test prep online (some free, some for a fee) to prepare for the test. Any student who is eligible for free/reduced lunch is eligible for a fee waiver for both tests. Contact me for details.
